David is a vocal and acting coach with more than 30 years experience as a performer, musical theatre composer, director, music director, producer, pianist, vocalist,, and music educator. He holds a BM in Songwriting and Recording Studio Production from Berklee College of Music and is currently pursuing a Masters in Musical Theatre Writing and Design at Berklee in New York City
While performers sometimes make great coaches, David’s background as a composer, director and music director enables him to help his students understand the material more deeply, learn about auditioning from the casting side of the table, and put it all together with a 360 degree understanding of dramatic storytelling. David has prepared students that have been accepted into every major musical theatre program in the country.

- Film Credits: David appeared in the movie Playing With Beethoven and also holds a music director credit for arranging and teaching the gospel choir in

Work In Education / Administration:
- College: David has been adjunct faculty at Saddleback College, Cypress College and
the Young Americans College. Teaching classes in musical theatre workshop,
audition techniques, piano, music theory, solo voice, choir, a cappella choir. - High School: David has also taught at the Orange County School of the Arts, ran all
performing ensembles and taught pop vocal, a cappella ensemble, music theory
and audition techniques. - Drama Teacher at San Clemente High School and taught beginning acting and musical
theatre workshop along with directing and music directing musicals and plays.
Administration – David ran a chain of performing arts high schools including opening a
brand new performing arts high school. He was responsible for hiring and training
all arts teachers on three campuses. Overseeing curriculum development,
establishing accreditation, community outreach and enrollment. David was the
liaison for the academic staff as well.
