You’re Just 6 Clicks Away
from turning ANY Audio Track
into an Accompaniment Track!!!
Wait what?
Create Your Own Accompaniment Tracks
Yes, Thank You AI!!
You can now take any MP3 or audio track and separate the vocal and then MUTE it! Then you export the track without the vocal and you have a perfect accompaniment, backing, karaoke track thanks to Logic Pro XI’s new AI stem splitting tools.
This new feature uses AI to split an audio track into 4 separate tracks, drums, bass, instruments and vocals. It’s make to be able to remaster an old recording or separate a vocal to make an EDM song. However, most folks wouldn’t think about it as we are about to, TO MAKE ACCOMPANIMENT tracks!
Let’s get into the steps needed.
Step 1
Download the 90 day trial of Logic Pro 11 here
Logic Pro is a DAW – Digital Audio Workstation. A full recording studio app used by Billie Eilish, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift producer Nathan Chapman, David Guetta and even EDM folks like Armin Van Burren. This app included other AI features if you want to explore them. It has an AI Session Drummer, Bass Player and Piano Player. You can put in chords and all three of those instruments play together without you doing anything. It’s a fantastic songwriting tool! (More articles on that coming soon!)
Step 2
Open the software and an empty project with an audio track.
Then select audio track.
Step 3
Drag your audio file into the audio track right here.
Step 4
Next we are going to select the stem splitter new feature in Logic Pro!
In the dialog box that pops up, uncheck the “vocals” option. What we are doing is splitting the vocal frequencies from the rest of the instruments.
Step 5
Now you can press play and hear your new accompaniment track!
Step 6
Now we will export our track. From the file menu select Bounce, then Project or Selection and you will get this dialogue box.
Make sure MP3 is selected. In the bitrate dropdowns, you can select the quality of the track you will export. The higher the numbers the better the quality of the track, but keep in the mind that the file sizes of the tracks are bigger when you select higher quality. Make sure to save the file somewhere where you can find it!

Create Your Own Accompaniment Tracks!!
